Rugged. Portable. Built for real-world access.

At Enable Access we believe freedom isn’t a privilege, it’s a right. That’s why our Utility Ramps range is engineered to break down the barriers between mobility and opportunity. Designed and manufactured in Britain, our utility ramps provide safe, reliable access for commercial, industrial and mobility applications.

Why choose our Utility Ramps?

  • High load capacity up to 400 kg – Our ramps support heavy-duty use, making them suitable for wheelchair access, mobility scooter, and industrial equipment alike.
  • Portable yet robust construction – Lightweight aluminium design combined with a rugged build means you can move the ramp where it’s needed without compromising durability.
  • Gripdeck™ anti-slip surface – Whether wet, dusty or in heavy foot-traffic zones, our unique slip-resistant surface ensures safe transitions.
  • Multiple widths and lengths available – Choose from standard 76 cm width or Superwide 90 cm, and a length range that adapts to door thresholds, steps, vehicles or even loading bays.
  • Wheels fitted on longer lengths – For enhanced portability in commercial settings, making deployment quick and efficient.
  • Made in Britain, quality assured – As a family-run British manufacturer with over 25 years’ experience, we bring you access solutions you can trust.

Typical applications

  • Mobility access at doorways, threshold steps or external entrances
  • Temporary or relocatable ramps for commercial or event use
  • Loading/unloading points for lightweight vehicles, trolleys or modular units
  • Industrial sites where a reliable, portable ramp is required
  • Schools, healthcare settings, community centres where rapid deployment is needed

How to select your Utility Ramp

  1. Measure your rise and run: Establish the height difference (step or threshold) and length available for the ramp.
  2. Choose appropriate gradient: For mobility wheelchair use you’ll want a shallower slope; for equipment loading a steeper ramp may suffice.
  3. Width matters: For broader equipment or dual-wheelchairs, consider the 90cm Superwide version.
  4. Check weight capacity and usage: If you’ll use the ramp regularly for heavy loads select one rated up to 400kg.
  5. Consider portability: If you’ll move the ramp between sites often, the versions fitted with wheels (for longer lengths) make deployment easier.
  6. Ensure safety surface: The Gripdeck™ anti-slip finish is especially important in external or industrial settings.
  7. Remember VAT relief eligibility: For eligible persons the ramp may qualify for UK VAT relief.
