The Enable Access team thoroughly enjoyed exhibiting for the very first time at the Occupational Therapy Adaptations Conference (OTAC) in Newcastle. This event has long been recognised as one of the most valuable exhibitions, seminar programmes, and networking forums for Occupational Therapists across the UK, so it was a genuine pleasure for our team to finally be part of OTAC Newcastle.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an energetic and passionate community of professionals who are dedicated to improving accessibility, independence, and quality of life for their clients. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredibly positive, full of meaningful discussions, practical demonstrations, and the shared goal of helping people live more freely.
We were especially proud to have secured a fantastic location within the exhibition hall at OTAC Newcastle. Our stand gave us a great opportunity to showcase our products, answer questions, and demonstrate how our solutions can support the incredible work Occupational Therapists do on a daily basis. It also allowed us to run our seminar, ‘How to Specify a Wheelchair Ramp’, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our day. Delivering this session enabled us to speak directly with many OTs about the challenges they face when assessing access needs, as well as the practical steps that can make specifying ramps simpler, safer, and more effective.
We thoroughly enjoyed the conversations that followed the ‘How to Specify a Wheelchair Ramp’ seminar and appreciated the thoughtful questions, real-world examples, and enthusiasm shown by everyone who attended OTAC Newcastle.
